William James Robb, 74, of Salmon Arm BC, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 15, 2025 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Bill was born on May 3, 1951 to Harry and Mary Jane (Molly) Robb in Prince Rupert. After graduating from Prince Rupert Secondary School, Bill worked in the mill and on fishing boats. He found his true calling when he became a member of the Canadian Coast Guard, where he served for over 30 years. In the words of his shipmate they “saved a lot of lives and killed a lot of fish” together and he always spoke proudly of his time on the water.
In the late 80’s, Bill met Brenda, and they wed going on to have 2 children, Erin and Denise.
After retiring from the Coast Guard, Bill spent his time travelling Indonesia and spending time with his daughters in BC and Alberta. But his heart was always with the coast.
Bill was predeceased by his parents Harry and Molly. And is survived by daughters Erin, Denise, his sister Shirely his nephews Paul, Sean, Derek and great niece and nephew Karrah and S.
A small family and close friends celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2026 on the water off Prince Rupert. Details to come.
