It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Greentree at the age of 90 years. Jack was born May 4, 1935 in Grande Prairie, AB and passed away June 9, 2025 in Salmon Arm, BC.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Darleen; his children Shannon, Gavin (Carolyn), Tracy (Jim), Darilyn (Todd), Darwin (Kim), Una (Ian) and Jay (Pam); his brother Jim; sisters Louise and Lorraine; sisters in law Raeann, Sharon and Laurelle; as well as his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Dick and Iola Greentree; his in laws Len and Alice Byrnes; his brothers Gerry, Doug and David; brothers in law Tom Hanham, Herb Griffiths, Colin Barber; sisters in law Shirley Greentree and Enda Byrnes; his daughter Trena Scott; his sons in law Larry Scott, Hugh Davis; and great grandson Scott Hall.
The most important thing in Dad’s life and what he was most proud of was his family and the time spent with them on road trips, camping, playing cards, having tea parties, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. He had a gentle loving heart and was a role model to many.
A life well lived, and a heart well loved.
The family would like to thank all of you who provided care and support to Dad during his journey. A funeral service took place Friday June 13th with an interment followed at Mt Ida Cemetery.
