Shirley Lawson passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, surrounded by love, at the age of 90.
Born on July 13, 1935, in Blackburn, England, Shirley carried with her a gentle strength and warm spirit that shaped her life and the lives of those around her. She was a devoted wife to Bernard Lawson for an incredible 69 years, a partnership built on love, loyalty, laughter, and shared memories that spanned a lifetime.
Shirley was a proud and deeply loving mother to Terry (Al), Graham (Barb), Shaun (Carolyn), and Anthony (Liza). Her greatest joy was her family, and nothing made her happier than time spent together-whether it was a simple visit, a shared cup of tea, or watching her family grow through the generations.
She was a cherished Nana to 13 grandchildren and a treasured GreatNanie to 19 great-grandchildren. Shirley had a special way of making each child feel loved and important, always offering a kind word, a warm smile, or a listening ear.
Shirley will be remembered for her kindness, her steady presence, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Her home was always welcoming, her heart always open. She leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and quiet grace that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Shirley will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Bernard, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all whose lives she touched.
