Scott Justus Floto

Scott Justus Floto passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 16, 2022, at just 59 years young.

Scott leaves behind a broken-hearted family, many friends, colleagues, and his Hall No. 3 brothers. Scott is survived by his loving wife Carla Floto (Zaff), his mother Joan Floto, his sister Sharon (Jim) Pequegnat, daughter Danica Floto (Marius Van Der Merwe), son Blake Floto, stepson Nickolas Zaff, the mother of his children Leslie, his favourite nieces Paula and Stacey (Tyler) Pequegnat, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and more.

Scott was born on May 19, 1963, in Guelph, Ontario, to John "Jack" (pre-deceased) & Joan Floto, and was welcomed by his big sister Sharon, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Scott was a model employee having worked for ICBC for 30 years and had an admirable work ethic that has and will always be instilled in his children. Scott was a pretty handy guy and was always up for an adventure. Whether it was fishing, boating, gardening, skiing, or being with family and friends, Scott was always there. On top of working at his "office" job Scott always had a passion for helping others. He volunteered as a first responder and then went on to become a volunteer firefighter (one of his proudest accomplishments) which brought him so much fulfillment and joy. He took great pride in being part of the fireworks crew in Blind Bay.

Scott was gentle and kind, he had a beautiful smile and a laugh that will live on in our hearts. He was a son first and truly adored and cherished his Mom and Dad. He was an amazing father to his children, and a faithful and loving husband to his wife who he adored.

Scott will always be remembered as a loving, caring, hard working, empathetic and fun-loving guy. He didn't have a mean bone in his body and would ALWAYS be there for you no matter what.
