Saralene Ann (Lawrence) Hopkins passed away November 6, 2025 at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, British Columbia at the age of 83 years.
She was born July 19, 1942 in Kalispell, Flathead County, Montana. Her parents were Arnold Percy Lawrence and Frances Louise Winter.
She grew up at Swan Lake, Montana. While living there beside Swan Lake, she graduated from Bigfork High School in Bigfork, Montana in the Class of 1960. She attended the School of Cosmetology in Kalispell, Montana and graduated in 1961. She went to live in St. Paul, Minnesota and it was there that she met and married George, the love of her life. They lived in many locations in the United States until they immigrated to British Columbia in August of 1971. After living in other places in BC, she became a resident of Revelstoke for more than 40 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, older brother; Joseph and one grandson; Frederick Robert Townsend, December 12, 1983, stillborn, Cranbrook, BC.
She is survived by her husband of 60+ years, George F. Hopkins, Jr., daughters; Lori (Art) and Debby (Glen) and son; George F., III., 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by her younger sister; Kathleen. She lovingly cared for Joy, the family dog. They were constant companions for the past 12 years.
The family sincerely thanks all the many doctors, nurses and others who cared for her during several years of illness and during her recent battle with cancer.
