It is with broken hearts that we mourn the passing of Ryan Mark Hunter who left this world unexpectedly on October 7th, 2024 at the age of 42.
Ryan passed at Queen Victoria Hospital surrounded by loved ones in the very hospital that he was born.
Ryan was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, skiing, baseball, riding his Harley and spending time with family at the cabin in Sicamous.
With much determination and passion, he had achieved his first degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He was dedicated to sharing his knowledge and skills to all his students, young and old.
Ryan was a force of energy that will always remain with us. With his passing, we mourn the loss of a loyal, humble and generous man.
Ryan will be forever missed by his cherished daughters, Tori and Shae and their mother, Bree, his proud father Mark (Joann), brothers, Mitch and Stevon and his mother, Yolanda, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, companion and special friend, Christina Forest.
A memorial service was held on October 29th at the Revelstoke Community Centre which was filled to capacity as a true testament of his character.
Ryan’s family would like to thank the community of Revelstoke, Gary Sulz, and pastor George Brodie for their compassion and support, and a special thank you to the medical team of Tally Stagliano, Dr. Molder, Dr. Chrisfield, nurses Carolyn, Nadia and Tim.
