Roy Sidney Abbott

Roy Abbott 

January 8, 1935 – March 31, 2026 

With great sadness we share that Roy Abbott passed away March 31, 2026. 

In his early life, Roy was a logger, then a small engine mechanic for many years. If he couldn’t fix it, nobody could. He worked at Sunset Equipment then Ormshaws. 

Roy was a quiet man. He still loved to fix things even in his retirement. He also loved fishing, his boat and snowmobile were his pride and joy. He rode his snowmobile until he was 80 years old. 

He was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan as the fourth of twelve children. 

Roy is survived by his wife Gloria, songs Ernest, Tommy (Tammy), daughter Debbie and grandchildren Matthew, Adam, Graeme, Hanna, Jessica. 

He will be greatly missed. 

At Roy’s request, there will be no funeral.
