Ron was born in Vancouver to Violet and Torrence Sutherland — the 4th child in a family of seven.
Ron worked three primary jobs during his years in B.C. — millworker, truck driver/warehouse man, and furniture mover.
Married for 59½ years, he and wife Annabel enjoyed 22 happy retirement years in Nanaimo, Princeton, Merritt, and lastly Salmon Arm. His final days were spent at Hillside Village in Salmon Arm.
Ron’s siblings are all deceased except for the youngest brother, Gary, seventy-five, in Coquitlam, B.C.
He will be deeply missed by wife Annabel, daughter Carol Perron of Prince George, her two sons Paul and Daniel in Mackenzie, B.C., and their wives and children.
