Ronald Poustie

We are saddened by the passing of Ron Poustie, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Born in Vancouver, Ron was fourth of six children.

He is survived by his wife Margaret, children Colleen (Randy), Curtis (Renee), grandchildren, Paige, Reeve, Jude, Senna, and Vienne, and sister Kathy and Brother Steven.

As a teenager Ron decided to be baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and that choice guided his decisions in life. He was a hard worker who always tried to “Do it right the first time”, a lesson he instilled in his children. For 25 years, he worked for ICG Propane before becoming the owner of Streamline Exteriors. He loved cars, photography, hockey, history, news, and travel. Babies delighted him, especially his grandchildren. Ron was always ready to lend a helping hand, often volunteering to work on community projects and was generous with his time in assisting others. He would visit the sick and grieving, staying with them to provide comfort. Ron deeply appreciated the phone calls, cards, meals, and support he received when that became his own situation.

The family wants to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses who cared for him so well. Memorial will be on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 1pm.
