Ronald Laverne Chappelle

Our father Ronald Chappelle, of Golden BC, passed away on October 3, 2023 after a brief but exhausting battle with cancer. 

Ron was born on June 21st, 1954 to Douglas & Agnus Jean in Taber, Alberta.  He is survived by his two younger brothers, Gord (Kelly) and Lorne (Sue) Chappelle.  After he graduated from Golden Secondary School, he went on to earn his Electricians Certification at UCC in Kamloops and continued working in the trade in Golden, until his diagnosis. 

He was blessed to have the love of his life, Cathy Chappelle (O’Sullivan) by his side through life, until her passing in May 2022. They dedicated their lives to their two daughters, Nicole (Mike) and Jathryn (Jason) Buchanan, and later in life also to their grandchildren, Tegan and Dash (Morrison).

His passion for music, gentle presence, and easygoing love for life will be how those who knew him, will remember him best. 

Condolences are extended from the family to everyone who is mourning the loss of both Ron and Cathy along with them. In a time of grief and sorrow, we look for comfort in the reunification of their two souls, forever together. 

He is predeceased by his parents, his sister Diana (Dryer), and his mother-in-law, Leona (Stubby) O’Sullivan.
