It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Ole Ekren, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Roger was born in Prince George, B.C., and in 1980, he made Salmon Arm his home, where he built a life filled with love, hard work, and cherished memories.
Roger dedicated 36 years of service to Co-op Federate, where he was known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and unwavering dedication. Beyond his career, Roger found true happiness in the great outdoors. He loved hunting with his beloved wife, Tammy Lecky Ekren, and had a deep passion for fishing and camping, always embracing nature with joy and gratitude.
Roger was the kind of man who made the world a better place just by being in it. He had a heart of gold, always giving, always understanding, and always putting others before himself. His love knew no bounds, and his kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was the most honest, loving, and caring person, embodying everything good in this world.
Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Tammy, his cherished children, Kelty, Dave, Sheena, and Tammy, and his adored eight grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. Though he is no longer with us, his love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed. He was deeply loved.
Rest easy, Roger. You were one of a kind, and your legacy of love and kindness will never be forgotten.
