Rodney Kyles

Rodney Stewart Kyles passed away in Vernon Jubilee Hospital on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the age of 90 years.

Born in Manson, Manitoba on June 12, 1931, moving to Salmon Arm in 1969. Many careers, including at Pilot in the Arctic on the dew line; Bridgeman with Ministry of Highways, Van Kam deliveries, as well assisting with needs of others.

Rod loved the community always active with ventures, visiting and coffee chats with the old timers in various popular coffee spots. He always had a sparkle in his eyes and a joke of the day. He was former President of the Lion’s Club, enjoyed Bowling.

He leaves his loving and dedicated wife, Isabelle, sons, Stephen at home, Rob (Linda) of Slave Lake, grandchildren, Keith, Kurtis and Brandy; sister Marjorie.

A Memorial reception will be held at the Senior Centre 5th avenue SE, Salmon Arm on Monday afternoon, November 1st at 2 p.m. with Jack Bowers the Celebrant.

Cremation with arrangements in the care of Bowers Funeral Home & Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
