It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rodney Allen Healey at the age of 88. He was surrounded by his family in Revelstoke, British Columbia.
Nothing short of a force of nature, Rodney lived large, creating memories and stories that will be shared for years. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Gladys Healey (née Armstrong), his daughter, Brenda Carson and husband, Bill, son, Brent (Butch) and his wife, Diane and his cherished grandchildren, Will, Tyler (Lindsay), Jenn, and Breane (Dave).
Born in Katrine, Ontario on March 4th 1937, to Wilfred and Jean Healey, Rodney was the third eldest of eight children. After a successful career with Sherman Mine, Rodney retired in 1990, enjoying travelling, hunting and fishing, as well as at the family cottage on Lake Temagami.
In 2023, Rodney and Gladys relocated to British Columbia to be closer to family and to create lasting memories, until passing on October 22nd, 2025. Never one to turn down dessert or anything sweet, Rodney’s passing leaves behind the warmth of his humour, his love of family he brought into every gathering. His laughter, stories, and generous spirit will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
