Robert, fondly remembered as Bob or Bobby Marlow passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on Dec 15, 2024 in Salmon Arm Hospital with family at his side.
Bob was born on Aug 26,1951 to Bunny Hesse and Don Johnston in Kamloops, BC.
He was a man with a laugh that you hear across town and his generosity, fun-loving and caring nature never went unnoticed. He was always at the ball diamonds cheering his girls on, no matter where they were.
Bob was known as many things throughout his life from son to big brother, ball player, best friend and pool shark to bartender, husband, millworker and the ultimate Blue Jays fan but his favorite thing of all was being the best father to his two girls, Hailey and Taren Johnston.
Bob leaves behind his ex-wife and dear friend Judy Johnston, daughters Hailey Johnston and Taren Johnston, his brother Steven Marlow and sisters Susan Cordonier, Lori Marlow, and Christine Dunn as well as many friends. He will be dearly missed. Bob is predeceased by his mother Bunny (Muriel) McPhail, Don Johnston and his sister Brenda Marlow.
He was able to connect to his estranged father Don Johnstons family in the last few years, which he truly appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Sicamous Minor Softball.
