Robert Neil Lightfoot

 It is with great sadness and hearts full of love, we
announce the sudden passing of Robert Lightfoot, a loving husband to
Chantel, a devoted father to Drew, Jade, Emma and Madison, proud
Grandfather to Kashton, selfless son to Bonnie, a caring brother to
Jennifer, a mischievous uncle and nephew, and a fun-loving, loyal
friend to many. Robert passed at the age of 48 years old on August 20,
2026, at one of his favourite places, Shuswap Lake, British Columbia.
Robert was born on June 18, 1978 in Valleyview, Alberta to Bruce and
Bonnie. The date of his birth fell on Father’s Day in 1978, as it
continued to often over the years. Meaning he was celebrated twice as
much on Father’s Day, which he so much deserved. Robert was a proud
and exceptional father to Drew, Jade, Emma and Madison and an even
prouder Grandpa to Kashton. He worked in the oil & gas industry
straight out of high school where he worked his way up to the Kaps
Operations Supervisor position at Keyera. He spent most of his career,
almost 30 years, working in the Simonette field along side some of his
best friends, making some of his most cherished memories. When he
wasn’t working, Robert enjoyed his time travelling, camping, quadding,
sledding, boating and cheering on his kids. Robert is so lovingly
remembered by his wife of 24 years Chantel, children Drew, Jade
(Cody), Emma, and Madison (Dexter), Grandson Kashton, Mom Bonnie,
Sister Jennifer Lightfoot, her husband Cory Laverick and her boys
Dylan and Rylee. As well as his mother in law Sharyn Terpsma, brother
in laws Jim Terpsma, Brady Terpsma, Donny Terpsma and their families,
and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. He was predeceased by
his son Tyrelle, Dad Bruce, Father in-law Wayne, Nephew Joel, his
grandparents, Uncles Bob, Maurice, Tim and Brian, and cousins Keith
and Kevin.
