Peggy Chartier Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy June Chartier, who passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 70.

Peggy was born on June 3, 1956, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Throughout her life, she was known for her quiet strength, caring heart, and unwavering love for her family. She spent many dedicated years working for the BC Government Liquor Store, where she built lasting friendships and was respected for her strong work ethic and kind nature.

After her years of service, Peggy made her home in Grindrod, British Columbia, where she enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and created many cherished memories. In her later years, she moved to Mount Ida Mews, where she spent the remainder of her life.

Peggy's greatest joy was her family. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her daughter, Sherry; her son, Justin; her sister, Caroline; and her treasured grandchildren, Maleah, Rowen and Treyton, who brought immense happiness to her life.

Peggy was predeceased by her beloved parents, Carrie and Lorne, and her precious sister, Laurie.

She leaves behind her brother, Bruce, in Manitoba and many cousins, nieces and nephews and friends who will miss her dearly.

She so enjoyed telephone visits with her Uncle Frank in Manitoba and looked forward to summertime reunions with cousins, Derk and Dawn.

Peggy often said she had spiritually adopted her nephew, Frankie who she loved to babysit during much of his young life and now his own family with his wife, Kim. Also her great niece, Franki and great great nieces, Nora and Ellie.

Peggy will be remembered for her resilience, her gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those closest to her. And though she is no longer with us, the love, kindness, and memories she leaves behind will remain a lasting legacy.

Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
