Patrick Thomas Whittaker

Patrick passed away at the age of 76 on September 23, 2024 at Mt Ida Mews in Salmon Arm.

Pat was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved many times before settling in Salmon Arm with his foster parents Margaret and Frank Clayton, where he attended grades 10 and 11. These wonderful people provided a loving home for Pat. After schooling in Salmon Arm, he moved to Prince Rupert where he established his working career and then moved to Vancouver where he was employed by Canadian Fish Company for 40 years. During this time, he acquired his Industrial Mechanics ticket.

Unfortunately, a combination of health problems moved him to Salmon Arm in 2018.

Patrick is survived by his sister Ita Whittaker, Salmon Arm; brother-in-law Ruben Orr, Salmon Arm; Ruben's children Kimberly and Stephanie; foster brother Lyle (Janet) Clayton of Temiscaming, Quebec; Rick (Lynn) Clayton of Nanaimo.

He is predeceased by his parents Noreen and Thomas Whittaker; aunt Ita and uncle Tore Vig; foster parents Margaret and Frank Clayton and foster brother Murray Clayton.

A heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Mike Skubiak and Bowers Funeral Home for all their kindness and caring, which is very much appreciated.
