Dianne Kersey passed away in Shuswap Lake General Hospital on September 23, 2024 at the age of 83 years. Born in Neepawa, Manitoba on July 20, 1941 she moved to Salmon Arm in 1950 with her parents Mait and Hazel Kersey and brother Bill. After graduation she moved to the coast returning to Salmon Arm in 1966 after her mother passed away to assist her father.
Dianne became an active member of the community working at key places including the original Credit Union, OK tire, Salmon Arm Paving, returning to OK Tire (Ed Proznick). She was instrumental in keeping the Royal Canadian Legion active, both as being on the Executive board as well volunteering her work skills and accounting knowledge to keep the doors open. She also helped many seniors with accounting needs. Hard work and with her strong will to get things done, in the right way, she is fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Dianne is predeceased by her parents, brother and a many of her friends. Dianne is survived by her daughter, Cyndi in Delta, and son, Jamie in Salmon Arm.
Cremation with a graveside service in Mt. Ida Cemetery on Wednesday, October 2nd at 1 p.m. with Jack Bowers as the Celebrant.
