Patricia Lynn Brewer passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at her home in Blind Bay, B.C., with her loving family by her side.
She will be forever remembered by her devoted husband, Phillip Brewer, and her sons Anthony Brewer (Makala) and Christopher Brewer (Amanda). Patricia was a proud grandmother to Kaleb and Olivia Brewer, and a beloved aunt to 23 nieces and nephews and 20 grandnieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many cousins.
Patricia is survived by her siblings Eric (Vicky) Phillips, Wilfred (Lillian) Phillips, Lloyd (Marie Noelle) Phillips, Stan (Perian) Phillips, Roseanna Locke, and Sandy Sater, as well as her in-laws Clive (Sherry) Brewer, Anne (Len) Stad, and Graham (Brigette) Brewer.
She was predeceased by her father Maran Peter Phillips, her mother Ruth Phillips (Baruch), her brother-in-law Norman Locke, her sister-in-law Christine Hammersmark, and her mother-in-law Mary Brewer.
Pat’s love of life and enthusiasm touched everyone she met. Her career began with the Canadian Armed Forces, where she met the love of her life, Phil. While raising her family, she also worked in a variety of positions in both Prince George and Kamloops. Pat’s passion for country music, her radiant smile, and her ever-ready camera made her the keeper of family memories, capturing moments that are now treasured by all.
Her generous spirit was especially evident in her more than 35 years of volunteer service with St. John Ambulance, where she provided care at rodeos—including the Williams Lake Stampede—and countless other community events. Together with Phil, she also discovered a love of cruising, sharing stories and photographs from their many adventures.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to St. John Ambulance, Honor House in New Westminster, B.C., or the Canadian Cancer Society (Leukemia Research).
A Celebration of Life will be held in July 2026 in Blind Bay, B.C. (date to be announced).
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Salmon Arm palliative care team, the doctors at VGH and SLGH, and the nurses and caregivers who supported Pat with compassion.
As Pat always said: “Life’s a journey—enjoy the ride.”
