Mona grew up in Yorkton, SK, ending up with many lifelong friends from school. She enjoyed tap, piano, and home economics.
In 1965, she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Education. Over her entire teaching career, she focussed on deaf and hard of hearing children and children with learning difficulties.
She married Ken in 1966. In, 1970, they moved to Salmon Arm. She enjoyed meeting people the world over and loved travelling, photography, entertaining, sewing, interior decorating, shopping, clothes, laughing, and making people happy. Most of all, she loved being a mother and grandmother.
Mona lit up the world with her smile and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer. Date to be announced.
