Obituary

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Moe McNamara after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Moe passed peacefully with family by his side. He was much loved by his wife of 63 years, Jan (nee Saulit), children; Marc, Jim (Lorrie), Caroline (Pat), Todd (Mark), grandchildren; Jen, Stacey (Andrew), Megan (Scott), great grandchildren; Trevor, Jacob, Hailey and Lincoln. Moe leaves behind his sisters Lorraine and Rose (Al) along with many other special family members and dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother Jeanne and brother Francis.

Moe was born, raised and spent the majority of his life in Edmonton, Alberta. This is where Moe and Jan raised their family. After several years in Spruce Grove, Moe and Jan came to Salmon Arm in 2018 to be closer to loved ones. Moe was an accomplished woodworker, spent time with friends and family at Lake Isle, AB in early years and then at Scotch Creek, BC. Moe welcomed all and loved to share in great times.

Jan and her family would like to thank Dr. B. Glanville and all the caregivers who gave so much to provide loving, dignified care to Moe.

A service was held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in Salmon Arm at Bowers Funeral Home, 440 10 St. SW.  To watch a recording of the service, please click the link below.
