It is with a broken heart that we, Connie and Todd, announce the passing of our beloved father Michael Edward Devlin.
He passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025 surrounded by family.
He was the second born child to Charlie and Lorraine (Purdy) Devlin in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on May 25, 1943. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Chester, Peter, and sisters Margaret and Christine.
Mike has three surviving siblings, Joe (Faye) Devlin of Golden BC, David (Dorothy) Devlin in St. Stephen N.B., as well as his sister Mary Murphy of St Stephen N.B.
At the age of 18, Mike and two buddies (one being Ken Thompson) set out from St. Stephen to B.C., finding work in Parson. He worked at the Parson mill before starting his logging career. It was here he met and fell in love with Darlene Dahl of Harrogate BC. They were married in Golden BC in November of 1965 for 50 wonderful years before Darlene’s passing in 2016.
Mike was a hard worker. He was a tree faller in the bush for many years, and eventually bought his own logging company above Parson BC for many years until his retirement.
Michael is survived by his immediate family, his daughter, Connie (Grant), his son Todd, and five grandchildren Tyrell, Cash (MJ), Vonn, Capri (Frisco), and Kelby. As well as his sister in-law Louise (Evan) Buzzell, and many other friends and family.
Mike will be missed by all for his kind words and ready smile. Rest easy Dear one.
