Maxine Agnes Dobson (nee Veitch) Nov 3rd, 1934 - Sep 3rd, 2026

The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Maxine. She was born near
Lestock Saskatchewan on November 3rd, 1934. She moved at the age of 12 with her family
to White Lake after the passing of her mother. She was predeceased by her husband of 65
years Horace, son-in-law Mel, siblings Eileen, Fiona, and Dean. She is survived by her sister
Mary Pakka.

Maxine is survived by her four children, Linda, Donna (John), Brian (Susan), and Barry
(Lora). Nine grandchildren Christine (Glen), Russel (Rita), Heather (Dan), Shannon (Juan),
Scott (Kelsey), Shauna (Trevor), Kathleen (Will), Brianna, Eric (Haylea), and Nikki Ford. Thirteen great
grandchildren, Brandon (Haley), Grace, Nicolas, Nathan, Kole, Nate, Alex, Eva, Adrianna,
Gabby, Sofia, Logan and Eloise. One great-great grandchild Raeann.

Grams (Maxine) was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She spent
the remainder of her days in the Shuswap Lodge where she was known for her love of
sports and games, and her sharp wit. Family was always the most important part of her life.
She enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, especially playing with
them and proudly watching them take part in their ball games. Her hobbies included
quilting, knitting, bowling and gardening, and she never missed the opportunity to watch
her favourite sports, especially curling and baseball.

A special thank you to the staff at the Shuswap Lodge for their kindness, care, and
compassion. Your support will always be appreciated by our family.

Grams left this world the way she lived her life, on her own terms. “She did it her way”.
