Our hearts, with great sadness, send love and peace on behalf of Matt Zorn who passed at his home in Canoe, B.C. on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the age of 47.
Matt was born on September 22, 1978 in Kamloops and raised in Lillooet and Salmon Arm.
Matt is lovingly remembered by his parents George and Jeanetta, brother Stephen, (Dorothy) and loving friend, Alicia, Aunts and Uncles: Helen & Roger, Sandy & Ray, Corry & Dave, John, and Cousins: Chris, Jenn, Peter and Paul.
Matt had many loving friends both in Salmon Arm and in Lillooet. His incredible emotional spirit lives on in family and friends. Matt, you are the light and the gentle cool breeze on the alpine peaks and in the warm meadow valleys.
Big-hearted Matt was kind to all. He listened to and supported his friends, customers and strangers. He loved to learn about B.C.’s history with a particular interest in exploring our rich mining history. He was proud of his Canadian and Dutch heritage. He always flew a flag outside his home.
A Celebration of and Gratitude for Matt’s life will be held at First Community at First United Church, Salmon Arm on Saturday, July 18 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Bowers Funeral Services, Salmon Arm.
