It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Lucas (née Mary Julia Lindballe) on September 23, 2024, at the age of 96. Born on February 5, 1928, in Daysland, Alberta, Linda was the beloved daughter of Peter and Myrtle Lindballe, who predeceased her, along with her brother, Harold of Dawson Creek.
Linda leaves behind her cherished children, Wayne, Wendy, Warren, and Kim, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Jim, Tom and Frank and sisters Joan, Myrna and Ann, who will deeply miss her love, wisdom, and warmth.
Linda spent more than 25 years as the proud owner of a fabric store and a talented custom seamstress, using her skills and creativity to touch the lives of many in her community. Her dedication to her craft was unparalleled, and her work brought beauty and joy to those she served.
Linda’s legacy will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, love, and artistry. She will be remembered for her strength, her compassion, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved.
