It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Darleen Greentree, on Nov. 25, 2025, at Salmon Arm, B.C.
Darleen was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Jack Greentree; her daughter Trena Scott; sons-in-law Larry Scott and Hugh Davis; great-grandson Scottie Hall; her parents Len and Alice Byrnes; mother- and father-in-law Iola and Dick Greentree; brothers-in-law Colin Barber, Gerry Greentree, Doug Greentree, David Greentree, Tom Hanhand, Herb Griffith; sisters-in-law Shirley Greentree and Edna Byrnes.
She is survived by her children Shannon, Gavin (Carolyn), Tracy (Jim), Derilyn (Todd), Darwin (Kim), Una (Ian), Jay (Pam), as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters Raeanne, Sharon, and Laurell; brother-in-law Jim; sisters-in-law Louise and Lorraine, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Service was held at Bowers Funeral Home Sunday, Nov. 30, with interment to follow at Mt. Ida Cemetery.
Jack and Darleen were wonderful people and parents, raising their own eight children with love—so much love—and then opening their hearts and home to foster children for 34 years, as well as their children’s friends and spouses.
Much loved and missed forever.
