Mary (Friesen) Hildebrand

Mary Hildebrand passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026 at the age of 91.  She was born Maria Friesen on September 14, 1934 in Letellier, Manitoba.

She will be remembered for her love of bingo and crossword puzzles. She often visited her sister Helen on Vancouver Island and worked at the Bee-Line laundromat for years. She loved having lunch with her 3 daughters at Jane’s Restaurant in Picadilly Mall.

Mary was pre-deceased by her son, Darren in 1979, her husband Ben in 2011 and her daughter Cheryl in 2022.

She is survived by her sister Evie (Elroy) Horst in Ontario and brother Bill Friesen in Manitoba; her daughters, Shelley (Dave) Hanson and Darlene (Pete Clarke), her 4 grandchildren Shawn (Darlene), Sarah (Warren), Dustin (Helena) and Amanda (Kelly) and 9 great grandchildren Faith and Brandon (Shawn and Darlene), Connor, Kylee and Christopher (Sarah and Warren), Lucas, Logan and Liam (Dustin and Helena), and Kenai (Amanda and Kelly).

She will be forever missed.

There will be a private family service and Celebration of Life at a later date.
