The family of Lorna Evelyn Duncan is saddened to announce her passing on October 27, 2024. She enjoyed travelling, her family, and was up for any type of adventure.
Lorna will be remembered and sadly missed by her children; Scott (Carolyn) Duncan and Anneli Duncan. She is cherished by her grandchildren; Kaarina (Devin), and Marissa (Jack) and great-grandchild Iola. Lorna is predeceased by her sons Neil and Fergus.
Lorna was born in Bralorne to Mamie and Oscar Maki in 1931. She lived a full life and was always looking forward to exploring a new country (often running to catch the plane). She tromped through the jungle to find the green honey creeper, explored the silk road as military vehicles were passing by, and worried about pirates overtaking her ship on the way to the Seychelles. When she wasn’t following the next adventure, she loved being a part of the Revelstoke Arts Council, teaching, and bird watching in unique spots.
A Celebration for Lorna's Life will be held at the Revelstoke United Church on March 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
