Linda Tress

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Tress(nee Senechal) on October 28th, 2023 in Golden, B.C. 

Born June 6th, 1953 in Lac Humqui, Quebec, Linda was the oldest of three children born to Adelard and Janyne Senechal. The family moved to Golden in 1964 where she lived until her passing. 

In 1972 she met and married Jim Tress, with whom she spent 51 years with and raised 4 children together, Janyne(John) of Calgary, Lola(Martin) of Golden, Dar(Sean) of Nanaimo, and Dave(Tina) of Eckville. 

Her greatest joy were her 8 grandchildren, Hope(Brady), Ryan, Eric, Bailey, Blake, Jaiden(Gen), Kataleya, Mattis, and her great-grandson Finnely. She would have been ecstatic to meet her great grand-daughter due to arrive in February 2024. 

Linda is predeceased by her father Adelard in 1968 and her dear family friend Gerry in 2017. 

She is survived by her mother Janyne of Kamloops, her sister Lisa(Steve) of Washington and Pete(Heidi) of Chase and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved like her own children. 

Linda was always up for a new adventure. She could always be found with a camera in  her hand and smile on her face enjoying time with family and friends. 

At Linda’s request no funeral will be held. In lieu of flower a donation can be made in her honour to the Friends of Golden and District Hospital.
