Larry Brown Obituary

“He who dwells in the shelter of the most high, will rest in the shadow of the almighty” - Psalm 91-1.  Our community sadly lost a quiet and gentle man on December 8th, 2021.  Lawrence Elmer Brown, born January 16th, 1947 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan, favourably known as Larry passed away peacefully from natural causes.
 
Preceded in death by his mother Lena, father Elmer, his brothers; Harry, Alvin and Leonard, and his former wife Elaine. Larry is survived by one sister, Beverly Hale and two brothers; Laurie Brown and Steve Brown and his children; Barrett Brown, Ardelle Brown and Candace (Brown) Evans. He is the grandfather to Brandon Brown, Michael Evans, Christina Evans, Julian Brown and his great granddaughter Lily Evans.
 
Larry married Darlene (Stagg) on October 6th 1989, and became stepfather to Murray, Jean, Rosalien, David and Bill accumulating many more grandchildren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
Larry entered into his Bachelor of Commerce in University of Saskatchewan and was employed  by Midwest Diamond Drilling and as a CNR Station agent. Later, he became a Building Manager for Seven Oaks Alliance in Abbotsford, BC for almost 20 years.
 
Larry will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a kind soul, a man with unfailing faith, who could quote most any verse from memory,  
 
The family wishes to thank the Shuswap General Lake Hospital for its thoughtful and compassionate allowance during this covid season.
