Kathleen "Kathie" Sylvia Mackey

With a profound sense of loss we announce the death of our wife and mom, Kathie Mackey, on April 8th 2024 in Salmon Arm BC.   She died at home with her family surrounding her as they witnessed her passing from suffering into the peace and love of her Heavenly Father. 

Kathie was born in Revelstoke on November 4th, 1947 where she lived most of her life.  After retiring from a career as an educational assistant, Kathie moved to Peachland and enjoyed 4 years there before settling in Salmon Arm.  She was a faithful worker in both the Revelstoke Auxiliary and Churches Thrift stores. She loved to play the piano, sing in church and community choirs, cross country ski, walk, puzzle, and spend time with her grandkids.

Kathie is survived by her husband Geoff, children Laura (Jim), James (Shay), and Wendy (Brad); her grandchildren Josh, Jenna, Cobie, Connor, Finlay, Isaac and Kaleb.  Also mourning her loss is her sister Nancy (Wayne), her brother Jim and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday April 13th at 11:00 am at the Revelstoke Baptist Church with interment and refreshments to follow. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF).
