Judith "Judy" Alice (Framingham) Krywa

It’s with our deepest sadness to announce the passing of our mother, Judith (Judy) Alice Krywa. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 80 years old.

Judy was born on June 17,1944 in Shell River, MB. During her early years on the farm, she was very involved and spoke often of her fond memories in the 4H program.  She graduated from Roblin Collegiate in 1962, and went on to train as a LPN at Dauphin General Hospital. Judy married Mervin Krywa in September of 1967 and over the years the children were born, and the family moved around for work and new adventures. In the fall of 1976, the family settled in Revelstoke, BC. Mom’s passion was nursing…she loved to care for the residents at Moberly Manor and anyone else who needed her help.

She loved to spend her time with her Sorority Sisters in Beta Sigma Phi and loved to help out during the “Pasta Feed” through the Fellowship Baptist church and every election she volunteered as a poll worker. She always enjoyed her garden and beautiful flowers. In the cooler times of the year, she enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. All of these things give you a short snapshot of what happened over the years, but they don’t truly describe how Judy was deeply dedicated to her family and always worked tirelessly for that end. She always took the opportunity to teach us all she had learned along the way.  She was a sweet, selfless lady with a kind heart and the most beautiful smile that would light up any room. She lived her dash to the fullest for the benefit of all who knew her…until she was no longer able.

Judy was pre-deceased by her loving husband Merv, her parents Reg & Daphne, brother Ed and sister Merle. Left to remember her beautiful smile and glowing spirit are daughters Kelly(Pam),& Shannon(Roland), son Steve(Kirsten), grandsons Tyler & Travis, sister Naida(Vernon) sister-in-law Donna, nieces and nephews; Mae(Pat), Laura(David), Grant(Penny), Lynn(Kirk), Brad(Lori), Brian(Lisa), Heather(Rob), Mike(Jodi), Alanna(Jim)  as well as many other deeply cherished relatives and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC. There will be a Celebration of Life for Judy on Friday, September 20th, 2024 at 11:00A.M. at The Fellowship Baptist Church (1806 Colbeck Road Revelstoke, BC). The family would like to thank the incredible staff at Mt. Cartier Court who took such very good care of our Mom during her last few years.
