Joyce Ann Young

It is with deep sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of Joyce Young, who left this world peacefully on November 8, at the age of 80. A truly remarkable person, Joyce touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

In her 80 years, Joyce created a lifetime of memories as a cherished mother, nan, great nan, and friend. She was a crafter of incredible talent, whose hands were rarely still. Her skill with needlework and quilting was a marvel, and she generously gifted her beautiful, handmade creations, stitching her love into every piece.

Joyce found joy in the simple pleasures, especially a day spent "treasure hunting" at thrift stores with her loved ones. She had a keen eye for a hidden gem and cherished memories made on those special outings.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Joyce’s love remains with us. Her legacy lives on in every act of kindness, every one of her beautiful handmade creations, and every memory we hold close. 

Joyce requested that there be no formal service. Her wish was for those closest to her to gather in the spring to celebrate her memory by enjoying some of her favourite things.

She was one of a kind and will be forever missed.
