Joyce Walker was born September 27th, 1929, in Willenhall, England. She passed away July 16th, 2025, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia.
The forever darling of the late John Walker (2017), who spent almost 47 years enthralled by his English rose. Their time from the Midlands of England to the serenity of Anglemont, BC, was a journey they made joyfully together, and the time together was never enough for either of them.
Joyce is survived by her sister Mary (John) Pearce of Walsall. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Tonks; sisters, Beryl Fleming and Thelma Parkes; brother, William; and brothers-in-law, Tom, Jim, Ron, and Eric Walker.
Her memory is held by family and friends in England, British Columbia, Ontario, Alberta, and the USA. The family is forever grateful for the compassion and kindness of the staff at Hillside Village in Salmon Arm, where she happily resided for the last 8 years. To Heather Flockhart, our surrogate family member and earthbound angel, words will never suffice to convey our gratitude.
May Joyce be at peace with the three things she has longed for: her John, her family, and the perfect cup of tea.
