Joseph "Real" Levesque

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Real Joseph Levesque, who left us peacefully on March 21, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born in Edmundston, New Brunswick, on April 21, 1948, Real lived a life rich in love, laughter, and quiet strength. Born into a large and loving family, he was predeceased by his parents, Marc and Georgianne (McAuley) Levesque, his brothers George (Jeane) and Robert (Yvonne), and his sister Rina (Louis).

Real was a devoted husband to Viola Levesque, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership. He was a proud and caring father to Jennifer (Clifton) Lo and Christopher (Christine) Levesque, always offering his unwavering support, wisdom, and kindness. He found his greatest joy in his grandchildren, Olivia, Dain, Cohen Levesque, and Averie Lo, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally.

He is lovingly remembered by his sister Rachel, and brothers Roger (Aline), Gilbert (Claudette †)(Ghisslaine), Donald (Yvette †) (Paquerette), Gilles, and Guy (Sue). Real cherished his family and held a special place in his heart for each of them.

Real was known for his mischievous sense of humor, his warm smile, and his ability to brighten any room. He was a talented woodworker and true craftsman whose handcrafted creations were a source of pride and joy. Whether tending his garden, fishing, or bringing holiday magic to life with his beloved Christmas displays, Real embraced life’s simple pleasures with heart and humility.

He will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will continue to live on through the lives he touched.

We welcome all who knew and loved Real to join us in honoring his life at a Funeral Mass and reception on June 14th at 1pm, held at the Blessed Sacrament Church.  1185 Shuswap Avenue, Chase BC.  Officiated by Father Ajin George. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Real’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Rest peacefully, Real. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
