It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Jonathon Alexander Bruce, who left this world on April 21, 2025, while on his beloved Bastion Mountain. Jonathon was 17 years old.

Born October 22, 2007 in New Westminster, BC, Jonathon lived every moment with purpose, adventure, and heart. His passion for firefighting, RAP attack, and his love for the outdoors, his friends, family, and community defined him. He was a young man of courage, kindness, and determination, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.

Though his years were few, Jonathon truly squeezed a century of living into his 17 years. His spirit was larger than life, his impact deep and lasting. He will be deeply missed by many—family, friends, teammates, and all whose lives he touched.

May his adventurous soul rest peacefully, forever part of the mountain he so loved.
