John Richard “Dick” Hume passed away in Salmon Arm on July 17, 2024 at the age of 91 years.
A Celebration of life service and reception will be held on Saturday, September 14th at 1 p.m. at Elk’s Hall, 3690 30th street NE, Salmon Arm, with Jack Bowers the Funeral Celebrant.
Born in Victoria, BC on May 22, 1933, moving to Salmon Arm with his parents in 1948. He is well remembered for his cheerful personality, both social and his working career with Okanagan Telephone company and BC Tel.
He leaves his loving and dedicated family, wife Lorraine for 66 years; two daughters, Patricia (Brian) of Edmonton, Teresa (David) of Tappen; 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Madison, Kristen and Richard; 3 great grandchildren, Jaxon, Zakk and George; brother Randy (Linda) of Almonte, ON and sister Beverly of Pitt Meadows, BC.
Memorial donations in memory of Dick may be sent to Shuswap Hospital Foundation, the family extend appreciation to the Hospital and Bastion Place for all their love and dedication to Dick and family.
