John Aron Wolfe

John was born and raised in Yarrow, B.C.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen; daughter Cheryl (Eddie); son Gerald (Kathy); and grandchildren Cody, Brianna, Kaitlyn, Ethan and Carter.

John was raised with his two younger brothers, Walter and Kenneth. He attended high school in Chilliwack. When he wasn’t helping on the family farm, he spent time tinkering with small engines as often as he could.

After training at vocational school in Vancouver, he started as an airline mechanic at CPAir/Canadian Airlines and ended up working there for 32 years.

He started attending Killarney Park Mennonite Brethren Church when he moved to Vancouver. There he met his future bride, Helen Pankratz. They married in 1967.

They raised their two children in Richmond and retired to White Lake in 1997. Here he spent time with church friends and had the extra space to pursue his numerous hobbies, including fishing, motorizing things, helping others, and spending time at their Green Lake cabin.

John will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow, at Bowers Funeral Home, Salmon Arm.
