It is with great sadness the family of John Vandenberg announce his passing on Monday March 15, 2021 at the age of 86.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Carole and his children, Laureen (Mark) and Doug (Kim).
John is survived by his brother Hank (Vicki), Calgary AB and his sister-in-law Marlene, Innisfail AB and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada, Holland and New Zealand, as well as other relatives and many friends.
He was predeceased by eight of his nine siblings.
John was born March 30, 1934 in Maarn, Utrecht, the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He was a career concrete finisher and a life long stamp collector. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
John loved to get together and share laughs and his arrival was jokingly announced with “here comes trouble”.
