In Loving Memory of John Martyn Parry
Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to so many…
John Parry was many things—deeply faithful, endlessly kind, and just the right amount of edge. Somehow, those things all fit together in a way that made him unforgettable. A TRUE LEGEND ✨
John didn’t live inside the lines. If you asked him a question, you could count on an answer you didn’t expect—but one that would make you smile, hold your breath, roll
your eyes, think, or all of the above. He was completely, unapologetically himself, and that was his gift to everyone who knew him.
He loved the mountains, especially when they were covered in snow. Skiing and biking weren’t just activities that John did—it was part of who he was. It brought him joy, freedom, and a sense of being fully alive.
In his final days, as his body slowed, his spirit remained bright. With a peaceful smile, he repeated a simple truth: “Every day is so good… it’s just so good.”
That was John. Right to the very end, he chose joy. He chose gratitude. He chose to see the goodness in it all.
He will be deeply missed for his laughter, his perspective, and the way he made life feel lighter just by being himself. But his legacy is clear and lasting—
we can’t control everything, but we can always choose our attitude.
Papa, Dad, John, JP, you have won!!
May that legacy live on through your kids and grandkids who have truly been impacted by the way you’ve lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor his love of skiing by donating to the Whitetooth Affordable Ski Program.
