It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Joan Filomena Swift on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in Revelstoke’s Queen Victoria Hospital at Mount Cartier Court.
The daughter of John and Victoria Ludwig (née Sanservino), Joan was born and raised in Revelstoke, BC. She was predeceased by her brother; Herald Ludwig. She is survived by her children; Darren and Scott, her grandson; Marcus, and nieces; MaryEllen, Jannis Sanservino, Tracy, Julie and Harolyn Ludwig.
Joan later moved to Edmonton, AB where she raised her two sons and pursued a career in banking. She was committed to family and did her best to keep in touch with them wherever they were. We remember every summer and Christmas holiday being a reason to go “home” to visit family in Revelstoke, where she later retired to be closer to them.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff at the Queen Victoria Hospital. As well as the nurses and home care workers for the wonderful care provided to Joan at Mount Cartier Court and to all who spent time with her, thank you.
