Obituary

Jeannette Helen Cutting (Bourgette) December 3, 1932 – April 16, 2022.

Our beloved Mother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 16th, 2022, in the Salmon Arm Hospital in BC. 

By her side, in Moms last hours, was her granddaughter Fallon Seidel giving her comfort and love. She always wanted to be able to go to sleep and pass into the arms of her Saviour Jesus and she did.

Mom was born in Kaleland AB to Anthony and Pearl Bourgette (Bourget) (both predeceased).

Also predeceased by her, were her brothers Robert, Andrew, Joseph, and Arthur, and her second eldest daughter Sherry (November 2005) and nieces and nephews.

Mom was raised in Northern Alberta and later met her beloved husband Milbert Richard Cutting (predeceased October 1998) and was married in May of 1952. They lived in various provinces throughout their marriage including Uxbridge, Ontario and then Vegreville, Edmonton and Calgary Alberta where they raised their six children, and finally in early 1970s moved to Kelowna, BC and later to Enderby then Salmon Arm where she spent her final 2 years. 

Mom loved to dance and party and was a very sociable mother, wife, and friend in her younger years. She loved to laugh and joke, and she loved her family. Mom and Dad were members of a curling team and won many trophies. Later she would be watching her curling on tv while she and her sister Annette (in AB) would be on the phone discussing the play-by-play action throughout the whole game. She enjoyed playing games, cards, and dice and watch her cooking shows. She also enjoyed preserving the harvest from Dad’s garden and the fresh fruit from the Okanagan valley. Her passion was to crochet and take it to the market where they met many of their friends. She worked in the retail industry most of her life and enjoyed her work. She retired early to care for her ailing husband after moving to BC. 

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories and heavy hearts, 5 surviving children, Marsha, Kevin (Ivy), Janice (Wayne), Andy (Lori), Richard.   Her surviving siblings: Rene, Annette, Edna, Sara
