It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean-Yves Trahan, also known as J-Y. He is survived by his mother, Laurette, his sisters, Diane (Daniel) and Céline, his brothers, Alain (Samia) and Armand, his god-son Gabriel, his nephews and nieces, Christine, Jean-Hubert (Anne-Catherine), Jean, Noémie, Maxence and Xavier (Eve), his little nephews and nieces, Lexie, Leanne, Livia, Charles, Méo and Noah and also many friends.
He was born in 1968 in Labrador City NL. At age 6, the family moved back to the Quebec province where he studied photography and also welding after a long stay in Whistler, BC. He loved the mountains and its nature. He always struggled to find a place of his own and he seemed to have found a place of solace in Revelstoke, BC.
We wish to thank all his friends, employers, colleagues and the Community connections staff in Revelstoke who provided friendship, help and support.
A celebration of JY's life will be held on Friday September 18th from 6pm to 8:30pm at the Revelstoke Seniors Center's Main Hall located at 603 Connaught Avenue, Revelstoke. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Community connections Revelstoke society in Jean-Yves’s memory.
