James William Rodgers

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of James William Rodgers. Beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Born on September 12, 1948 in Brampton, Ontario. Passed in October 2023.
He was predeceased by his brother Sam Rodgers (2021) and his sister Ginger Thomas (2023.) Survived by his son Andy and his sister Edna Dowell. Loving son to his mother, Martha Harley (2019.)
James, known to many as Jimmy, was a free spirit who lived to the beat of his own drum and found serenity in being in nature. His life moved him from his birthplace in Brampton across the country to the wonders of the rocky mountains in Golden BC, where he resided for much of his life. Jimmy’s absolute favorite pastime had been spent on the water fishing off his boat, as it seemed the worries of everyday life could never reach him while he had a line in the water. He had spent many of his summers enjoying the past time filled with laughter, stories, and reminiscences of memories of summers past with Morgan Lumley and James Fuller.
He will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on whenever a line is cast into the water or a loon calls in the distance. In loving memory of Jimmy September 12, 1947- October 20 2023
