June 23, 1931 – October 3, 2024
Mr. Jack Rottier of Penticton, BC, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on June 23, 1931, in The Netherlands, he was the second youngest of 10 children.
Jack is predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Ineke (Ina), his parents, and his nine siblings. He is survived by his children: Arnold (Debbie), Chris (Michelle), Ed (Leahann), Karl (Jane), and Alida (Dave); 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Elisabeth Rottier and Ann Knottnerus; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Jack immigrated to Canada in 1953, and in 1960, he married Ina. Together, they farmed in both British Columbia and Alberta, raising their family with love and dedication. After retiring they settled in Oliver, BC. Jack was known as a passionate, hardworking farmer, and a faithful, kind man. In retirement, he enjoyed gardening, travelling, and his daily walks.
Jack was a devoted husband, father and Opa.
A Memorial Service will be held at Westlock Gospel Chapel on November 2, 2024 at 1:30 pm.
