Diane Mcpherson(nèe Perry) was born August 12, 1944 and passed peacefully with family at her side on February 14, 2025.
Diane was pre-deceased by husband Jerry, and sister Barbara. She is survived by siblings Wilma(Marge), Donna(Calvin), Susan(Dwayne), and Bill(Donna); children Trevor (Jodi), Shannon (Solo), and Ryan(Tiffany), and her beloved grandchildren: Perry, Tyson, Esita, Kacey, Isabella, and Gabriel.
Diane was the eldest of 6 children born to William and Jean Perry, and raised in Canoe. After high school, she attended nursing school on the coast, where she met her husband, Jerry. After graduating as Psychiatric Nurses, they eventually made their way to Kamloops, where they worked at the Tranquille facility for several years and began a family.
They eventually returned to Salmon Arm where they started Lynndale Lodge, a successful and respected community care facility currently run by their daughter, Shannon.
Diane was active in the community, coaching Special Olympics bowling for many years, and providing support, advice, and assistance where she could. She was an avid golfer, and enjoyed regular off-season dinners with the ‘golf ladies’ while they waited for the links to open again. She was also a strong Scrabble player, and maintained a significant roster of online games with players around the world.
In recent years, her numerous health issues interfered with her golfing and socializing. Still, she looked forward to visits with friends and family, being particularly energized when her grandkids would visit.
A celebration of life is being planned for the spring.
