Heath Edward Hanson

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Heath Hanson on September 1, 2026, at the age of 50.

Heath was born on May 24, 1976, to Raymond and Linda Hanson. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, and friend, and a man whose personality was impossible not to love. Heath had a way of bringing laughter and light wherever he went. His presence could fill a room, and his unforgettable personality left an impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.

Heath had a deep love for the outdoors and felt most at home surrounded by nature. He especially loved sledding, the freedom of being outside, and the adventures that came with it. Those who shared those moments with him will always remember the excitement, laughter, and stories that came along with them.

Heath will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Raymond and Linda Hanson; his sisters, Catharine and Tanya; and his beloved spouse, Kassandra, along with his extended family and many friends who loved him dearly.

To know Heath was to know someone who lived life with heart, humour, and a spirit that could not be forgotten. He created memories everywhere he went, and those memories will now become some of the greatest treasures left behind.

His passing has left an unimaginable emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him. There will never be another Heath. His laugh, his personality, his love of the outdoors, and all the little things that made him who he was will be missed more than words can express.

Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we will carry Heath with us...in every trail, every adventure, every laugh, and every memory.

Heath, you were deeply loved, you made this world brighter simply by being in it, and you will be missed every single day.

Heath's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Sept 19th at 12pm at Eagle River Secondary School in Sicamous. All are welcome.
