Gwendolyn "Louise" Higginson

Louise Higginson (Lweazy) passed away peacefully at Durand Manor February 2nd, 2026 at the age of 74, with her family by her side.

Originally from Cranbrook, BC Louise moved to Golden, BC to be with her husband Reg. They owned many businesses throughout the years, including the Sears depot and Higgy’s Garage, while raising their 2 daughters. They spent their retired years travelling to car shows and spending the winters in Arizona. Louise was predeceased by her husband Reg in November 2019. She is survived by her daughters Carol (Andrew) and Tammy and also leaves behind her beloved little dogs Jake & Jasper.

A deep thank you to the wonderful, caring staff of the Durand Manor. They made her time there very comfortable and happy.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
