In Loving Memory of Guy Tremblay
March 28, 1938 – June 29, 2025
Guy Tremblay was born on March 28, 1938, in Sherrington, Quebec. In 1970, he found his true home in Golden, British Columbia, where he spent the remainder of his life surrounded by mountains, family, and friends.
On June 29, 2025, Guy passed away peacefully, comforted by the enduring love and presence of his family. He is lovingly remembered by his partner Joanna (sons Bill and Dino); his sister Armande; his son Rick (Mollie); daughter Pearl (Bryan); his grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
Devoted to those he loved, Guy took immense pride in his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In his final days, he pointed to the sky and spoke fondly of his many friends "up there"—ready, as he said, to reunite with his coffee buddies once more.
Guy was grateful for a life filled with travel alongside Joanna and family, treasured summers spent with his siblings in Quebec, and countless joyful days skiing and golfing—activities he enjoyed well into his later years. His zest for life and his spirit leaves a lasting impact on all who knew him.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rodgers, Dr. Nick Tan, and the extraordinary nursing staff at Golden General Hospital. Your compassion, care, and kindness during his final 15 days brought immeasurable comfort and will always be remembered with deep gratitude.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16, 2025, at the Golden Seniors Centre, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
