Garth passed peacefully in his sleep on January 2, 2026 at the age of 85.
Garth was born March 18th, 1940, in Dodsland, Saskatchewan, and then joined his family in Driver, Saskatchewan.
The family moved to Cawston BC in 1945 when Garth was 5 years old. Garth was the 10th of 14 children born to Sarah and William Cook.
Garth is survived by his siblings Milton, Haviland, Shirley, Honey, Mary, and Verna. Garth was predeceased by his siblings Patience, Bill, Earl, Ronald, Churby, Eunice, and Elsie.
In February 1959 Garth made his choice to serve God in his hometown of Cawston, BC.
In 1960 when he was 20 years old, Garth started in the ministry to share the Gospel. Garth spent 10 years in BC and then in 1970 he went to West Africa where he spent 30 years. In 2000 he returned home and had time in Alberta, BC, Ontario and Quebec. In 2009 Garth shared the same Gospel in France for 1 year before returning to Canada where he continued in this work having time in Saskatchewan and BC until his passing.
Garth’s hope was to “continue in the Ministry until his last living day.”
